EXECUTIVE SUMMARY |
<p>Florida Statutes, State Board Rules and Hillsborough County School Board Policies require Board notification and/or action regarding decisions and recommendations of the Superintendent related to Personnel matters. Actions regarding personnel have been recommended by Supervisors, approved by the Superintendent and are being forwarded to the Board for action or, if appropriate, for information. Instructional, Support, and Out of Field personnel actions.</p>
<p>The attached job description is revised and details duties and responsibilities of the position, Wellness Coordinator, Student Nutrition (job code 59413). This position is responsible for developing, planning, and executing districtwide wellness initiatives and programs that encourage healthy lifestyles for students and staff. The revisions to this job description include moving the position from part-time to full-time and changing the salary to reflect that transition.</p> |
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES |
<p>Goal: Develop and support great educators, support personnel, and leaders.<br />Initiative: Recruit and retain highly skilled, qualified, and diverse educators, leaders, and support staff.</p>
<p>Wellness Coordinator:</p>
<ul>
<li>Responsible to formulate a plan of action, with oversite, to carry out the requirements of Hillsborough County Public Schools Wellness Policy #8510 and Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act.</li>
<li>Operate a financially solvent food service business while meeting the nutritional needs of our students.</li>
<li>Improve KPI benchmarks met in the areas of food, supplies, labor, and participation across school sites.</li>
<li>Increase participation in school breakfast and lunch program.</li>
