Approval of Affiliation Agreement for Health Science Education for 2019/2020 (Workforce Connections)

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Temple Terrace Fire Department is a workforce community partner willing to provide our health science education enrollees with on-site clinical training. At this time, we have over 100 active clinical facilities that provide hands-on clinical experiences for secondary and postsecondary students based on affiliation agreements. The length of programs in which students are enrolled range from three weeks to 14 months. These standard agreements are necessary to meet the Florida Department of Education curriculum framework requirements and fulfill our obligation to students for clinical experiences. The partnerships we establish with the clinical facilities in this community are essential to our Health Science Education programs and beneficial to the health care industry. We are pleased that the quality of our graduates provides an incentive to the health care industry to continue our long-term mutually beneficial relationship.
