Approve the 2021/2022 Student Academic Calendar (Chief of Schools)

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The District Calendar Committee, which is compromised of members who represent all major operations of the school district, elementary and secondary school principals, parents, community partners, and the Hillsborough Classroom Teachers Association (HCTA) developed a student calendar for the 2021/2022 school year. The District Calendar Committee met on March 4, 2020, to review and vote on the calendar. The Florida State Fair Authority has recommended moving the free student ticket opportunity to the Friday before Presidents' Day to allow for a four-day weekend for families. This also allows for more time to prepare and coordinate enrichment experiences and programming.
