| <p>Eighth Amendment to Primary User Agreement Between the University Area Community Development Corporation, Inc. and The School Board of Hillsborough County for Classroom Space at the University Center for Adult and Community Education Classes (<em>Operations Division</em>)</p> | |
| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
| <p style="text-align: justify;">The School Board of Hillsborough County, Florida and the University Area Community Development Corporation, Inc. (UACDC) entered into a Primary User Agreement on December 11, 1999. This Agreement provided seven classroom spaces at the University Center for Adult Basic Education (ABE); General Education Development (GED), English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), and Family Literacy classes. The University Center has the facilities to service both the adult programs and the services for the young children in the family programs.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">The current agreement term will expire on June 30, 2020, and UACDC has proposed a two year extension from July 7, 2020, to June 30, 2022. Monthly rent from July 7 , 2020, to June 30, 2022, will be $6,131.93 ($73,583.16 per year). Termination provisions are included in the Primary User Agreement (Attachment A, Section 20, Page 19) that allow cancellation of the lease if workforce funding is no longer available.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">The amount of square footage required has been reduced from 3,874 square feet to 1,786 square feet. As a result, the cost has been reduced accordingly and the CPI annual increase has been waived.</p> | |
