<p>Approve the Payment to American College Testing (ACT) for Exams Given to Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) Seniors and Select Juniors <em>(Academic Services)</em></p>
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
<p>Academic Services has provided ACT tests during the school day to seniors and select juniors who lack the required reading graduation benchmark on the Florida State Assessment (FSA) and/or the required math graduation benchmark on the Algebra 1 end-of-course exam. This payment will cover ACT exams given during the 2019/2020 school year and allow payment for ACT tests administered during the fall and spring of the 2020/2021 and 2021/2022 school years.</p> <p>In accordance with the Florida Department of Education Purchasing Policy 6A-1.012(11)(b), the requirement for requesting competitive solicitations for commodities or contractual services from three or more sources is hereby waived as authorized by Section 1010.04(4)(a), F.S., for the purchase of educational services and any type of copyrighted materials including, without limitation, educational tests, textbooks, and printed instructional materials where such materials are purchased directly from the producer, or the owner of the copyright.&nbsp;</p>
