<p>Approve Change in the Management Company for Victory Charter School Tampa (previously Avant Garde Academy Westchase) (<em>Office of Innovation</em>)</p> <p> </p> | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
<p>On December 15, 2015, the School Board voted to approve the Avant Garde Academy Westchase application to open a charter school in Hillsborough County for the 2016-2017 school year. The charter school’s governing board, International School of Excellence Inc., requested a deferral on February 24, 2016 to open in the 2017-2018 school year in order to finalize facility and building construction. On March 7, 2017, the School Board voted to approve the contract for Avant Garde Academy Westchase. </p> <p>The application identified Alliance Education Services, Inc. (AES), a management company, as the Education Service Provider. A management services contract was agreed to by the school’s governing board and provided for a term beginning July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2021. The signed agreement was provided to the school district upon the opening of the school in August 2017. </p> <p>On June 22, 2020 AES terminated its management services contract with the governing board of Avant Garde Academy Westchase. </p> <p>The governing board has chosen to enter into a management agreement with National Academic Educational Partners, Inc. (NAEP), a Florida Educational Service Provider that provides full educational, operational, and financial services. </p> <p>The school has changed their name to Victory Charter School Tampa. All the appropriate paperwork has been submitted to the Charter Office for the name change. </p> | |
