EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
If approved, the district will purchase one Ford F-350 truck and two Ford Transit Connect vans for the Maintenance Department. Quotes were obtained from dealerships awarded on both the State of Florida and Florida Sheriffs Association contracts for price comparisons. The initial term of this contract is from October 1, 2015, through September 30, 2016. Hillsborough County Public Schools will commence its use effective July 20, 2016.
In accordance with the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE), Purchasing Policy 6A-1.012(6), in lieu of requesting competitive solicitations from three or more sources, district school boards may make purchases at or below the specific prices from contracts awarded by other city or county governmental agencies, or other district school boards. |

Expenditures for 2015/2016 are $471,985.15 and $169,534.00 for 2014/2015. Funds in the amount of $85,572.25 will be available in Local Millage. For tracking purposes, the project number specific to this agenda item is 8019. As of June 23, 2016, the remaining balance less encumbrances for this line item equaled $732,861.35. | |
EVALUATION | |
Contract administration or evaluation is performed by the Project Manager (end user) and Procurement Officer, who function as a team. Reviews are performed annually or by utilizing an online vendor performance report. Prior to soliciting a new contract, the Contract Administration team must first give consideration to the specifications and supporting data of the expiring contract. | |
