|
Staff from both the Hillsborough County Solid Waste Management Division of the Public Utilities Department and the State of Florida Department of Environmental Protection have requested permission to continue the long-term care and monitoring of the closed landfill located at Leto High School. The current agreement was initiated in 1994 and will expire in May 2024 unless extended by the School Board of Hillsborough County. The term of the proposed agreement is from May 2024 through May 2054. There are currently nine monitoring wells located on site as shown on Appendix 1 of the Agreement. Reports generated from the monitoring of the site will be submitted to the school district's Safety Division.

The Agreement has been reviewed and approved by school district legal counsel as to legal form and sufficiency. As owner of the property, the School Board is required to approve and execute the agreement first.
|
