<p>Acknowledge and Approve Hillsborough County Public Schools' Partnership with the Children&rsquo;s Board of Hillsborough County and the Investments in Programs and Services for Families <em>(Office of Innovation)</em></p>
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
<p>The Children&rsquo;s Board (CB) invests in programs, resources, and services that ensure families are supported, children are healthy and safe, developmentally on track, and ready to learn. &nbsp;The CB releases funding opportunities annually for family services through a transparent Request for Proposals (RFP) process. &nbsp;The CB invests in services that demonstrate a measurable impact to create and sustain thoughtful partnerships that make a positive impact in communities throughout the county. &nbsp;A contract manager is assigned by the CB to provide oversight, support and accountability of all funded programs.</p> <p>&nbsp;Attached is a list of organizations that are being recommended for continued funding between October 23, 2020 through September 30, 2022.</p> <ul> <li>New: Hillsborough Education Foundation, CB Tech &ndash; Learning at Home (Countywide)</li> <li>The Children&rsquo;s Home Network/SEEDS Program (Countywide &ndash; Case Management and Parent Involvement)</li> <li>Early Childhood Council of Hillsborough County/Developmental Screening (Countywide Support to FDLRS - Child Find System of Care)</li> <li>Tampa Housing Authority/Village Link-up Program (Robles Park &amp; C. Blythe Andrews &ndash; Case Management and Parent Involvement)</li> <li>Positive Spin/EACH One Initiative (West, East, Sulphur Springs, Temple Terrace, and North Tampa &ndash; Case Management)</li> <li>Family Enrichment Center/Kinship Care (Countywide Case Management and Parent Involvement)</li> <li>Boys &amp; Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay Inc./After-Zone Middle School Initiative (Pierce, Shields, Marshall and Tomlin &nbsp;&ndash; After School Programming)</li> <li>Corporation to Development Communities of Tampa, Inc./3D Stingrays (Rodgers Middle &ndash; Afterschool Programming)</li> <li>Girl Scouts of West Central Florida, Inc./LEGIT Program (Progress Village, Guinta and Eisenhower &ndash; After School Programming)&nbsp;</li> <li>Hispanic Services Council, Inc./La Red de Padres Activos (Palm River, West Tampa, University, Ruskin, &amp; Wimauma &ndash; Parent Involvement)</li> <li>Parents and Children Advance Together (PCAT)/South County Literacy Initiative (Ruskin Elementary &ndash; After School Programming)</li> <li>Seniors in Service of Tampa Bay, Inc./Readers in Motion (Mendenhall, Egypt Lake &amp; Seminole Heights in classroom literacy support)</li> <li>Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCA, Inc./Community Learning Center (Sulphur Springs K-8 Community School &ndash; After School Programming)</li> <li>Gulf Coast Jewish Family and Community Services, Inc./Good Afternoon Friends and Amigos (Reddick and Turkey Creek &ndash; After School Programming&nbsp; and Case Management)&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Feeding America Tampa Bay/Feeding Minds (Countywide)&nbsp;</li> <li>School District of Hillsborough County/Renaissance myON Reader (Countywide)&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p>The organizations receiving funding have provided COVID19 mitigation plans that adhere with the recommendations from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the Health Department have agreed to abide by district safeguards noted in Superintendent Davis' Reopening Plan. All services provided to students are at no cost to the schools or families as such, any provider accessing our facilities request approval for a waiver of facility usage fees. All providers will be required to provide liability insurance, comply with volunteer and Jessica Lunsford Act (JLA) screening procedures, and pay for custodial supplies as determined by school administration.&nbsp;</p>
