<p style="text-align: justify;">Approve Acceptance of Project for the Chiller Replacements at Giunta Middle School <em>(Operations Division)</em></p> |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY |
<p style="text-align: justify;">In December, 2019, the Board approved the method of awarding replacement air conditioning equipment to Carrier Corporation utilizing a piggy-back contract between Carrier and Sourcewell when it was in the best interest to the District. On March 31, 2020, the Board approved the Operations Division's request for the specific award of two replacement chillers at Giunta Middle School.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) Rule 6A-1.012 allows for purchases from contracts awarded by other government agencies, district school board, Department of Management Services (DMS), etc., at or below specified prices.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The District and Carrier Corporation has certified that the work is now fully complete in accordance with the plans and specifications and other contract documents and recommends Board Acceptance.</p> |
