SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Accept the Renewal of Verizon Wireless, Inc. (Verizon) for Cellular Telephone Services (Business Services Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
On February 25, 2014, the Board awarded Request for Proposal (RFP) #13090-MST Mobile Communications Services, Devices, and Accessories to Verizon, who responded to the RFP by referencing the terms and conditions of the State of Florida Department of Management Services contract #DMS-10/11-008C for Mobile Communications Services.  The agenda approved the contract through January 18, 2017.  The State of Florida Department of Management Services has renewed the contract through January 19, 2022. This agenda item accepts the stated renewal term and maintains compliance with the federal E-Rate program requirements, and may be terminated upon 180-day written notice.  This contract will be reviewed annually and may be renewed by the superintendent.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
The annual expense for these services are estimated at $92,000 and are included in the General Fund Budget. The district staff will follow the E-Rate procedures to ensure eligible services receive the current maximum rebate.
EVALUATION
Contract administration or evaluation is performed by the Project Manager (end user) and the Procurement Officer, who function as a team. Reviews are performed annually or by utilizing an online vendor performance report. Prior to soliciting a new contract, the Contract Administration team must first give consideration to the specifications and supporting data of the expiring contract.
