B6.11 - Accept all Proposals Submitted by Multiple Vendors - Request for Proposal (RFP) #19051-DST-CK Towing Services (Business Services Division)
On March 13, 2019, Procurement Services, in conjunction with the Transportation Department, issued an RFP to establish fixed pricing for towing services of district vehicles such as passenger cars, trucks, and school buses. This solicitation will replace the existing Hillsborough County Public Schools solicitation #14015 for towing services. District personnel evaluated the proposals and recommended awarding to multiple vendors resulting in lower overall costs. This recommendation has been reviewed by the Transportation Department's Fleet Manager.
The initial term of this contract shall be for a 1-year period beginning July 30, 2019, with four 1-year renewals. There is a 30-day termination for convenience clause included in this contract. All prices offered are firm against any increase for at least one year from the effective date. This contract may be renewed by the Superintendent, per the terms of the specifications.

Contract administration and evaluation is performed by the Project Manager (the “End User”) and the Procurement Officer, who function as a team, by utilizing an online vendor performance report or via in-person reviews. The evaluation consists of an assessment of the vendor provided goods and services, deliverables, and compliance with contractual requirements. The resulting data will support renewal decisions and/or alterations to a new agreement.
