Title

B7.04 - Approve Resolution 2019-01 for Impact Fee Fund Disbursement from the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners for Site Acquisition, Construction and Construction Management of Elementary “D”, Located on North of Paseo Al Mar Blvd, West of US 301, Riverview, Florida (Operations Division)

Description

To support student population in the southern Hillsborough County area, the School Board of Hillsborough County will be constructing Elementary “D” containing 1,000 student stations, which is scheduled to open for the 2020 school year. Elementary “D” will absorb students generated by new residential growth, while relieving Cypress Creek, Summerfield Crossings, and Doby Elementary Schools. This project is reflected in the School Board’s approved 2018/2019 Five Year Facilities Work Program.

Hillsborough County’s Consolidated Impact Assessment Program (the Impact Fee Program) requires that the School Board approve a resolution for disbursement of Impact Fee Funds held by Hillsborough County for expenses related to land acquisition, design and construction of new school facilities. The estimated site acquisition, construction, and capital equipment cost for Elementary “D” is $23,339,000. By approval of this Resolution, the School Board is requesting to draw funds from the Impact Fee Fund for qualifying expenditures up to $23,339,000.
