B7.11 - Approve Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for Referendum (Year Two) Project at Newsome High School (Operations Division)

Description

The District's referendum advertisement provided for partial heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) replacement at Newsome High School.  On October 29, 2019, District staff selected Carruthers & Associates-Architects, Inc. and The A.D. Morgan Corporation to provide design and construction management services, respectively, through a selection committee.  Award was made based upon the score granted by the selection committee.

Approval of the GMP will establish the cost for the project.

Project Substantial Completion is scheduled for October 16, 2020.

Completion of a major mechanical, painting and waterproofing project resulting in energy efficient HVAC systems and enhancing the student experience on campus to facilitate learning at Newsome High School.

Financial Impact

The GMP recommended for approval is $5,838,603, which is available in the Sale Tax Referendum fund.
