B6.03 - Award the Lowest Responsive, Responsible Bid Submitted by Strategic Equipment LLC for Invitation to Bid (ITB) #20059-MST-IV Walk-in Freezer Cooler Combination (Business Services Division)
Invitation to Bid (ITB) #20059-MST-IV was issued in order to obtain firm fixed pricing from vendors for the purchase and installation of a combination walk-in cooler freezer, which is necessary for the operation of the food service kitchen at Farnell Middle School.
This contract shall be awarded based on the lowest bid from a responsive responsible vendor, as specified in the bid. The recommendation has been reviewed by the Facilities Manager of Student Nutrition Services. The term of this contract shall begin on May 13, 2020, and continue until the successful completion of the installation and related repairs.
The walk-in freezer cooler equipment is used at Farnell for the refrigeration and storage of necessary food service items.
Contracts for various types of large food service equipment have been approved by the Board and successfully implemented during previous years.
Upon approval we expect the vendor to provide awarded item and corresponding services, including demolition and installation, according to the terms and conditions listed in the ITB. The awarded vendor is:

Funds in the amount of $82,850 will be available in the Student Nutrition Services budget for the acquisition of this equipment and the corresponding services for installation.
This is a short-term, one-time project.
