B7.17 - Approve Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for Interior Security Walls at Cork Elementary School (Operations Division)

Description

As part of a recent security assessment of Cork Elementary School, District staff selected Renker Eich Parks Architects, Inc. and Creative Contractors, Inc. from the approved Continuing Services Consultants list to provide design and construction management services, respectively, to perform security upgrades at this school.  The project scope provides for creating new interior security walls in Pod Areas A, B and E to eliminate the existing large open multiple classroom scheme.

Approval of the GMP will establish the cost of the project.

Project substantial completion is scheduled for August 9, 2020.

Cork Elementary School requires these security upgrades to better control the classroom environment and to better support shelter-in-place requirements on an individual classroom level.
