B7.03 - Approval of a Parking Lease Agreement Between The School Board of Hillsborough County and State of Florida, Department of Management Services, to Provide Five Additional Parking Spaces for Employees at the Sanchez Full Service Center (Operations Division)

Description

Currently, the Sanchez Full Service Center and the Lee Davis Neighborhood Services Center share a surface parking lot for their employees and visitors, which results in limited convenient parking for District employees. The State of Florida owns the Hargett Building facility, located adjacent and west of the Sanchez Center at 2002 East 26th Avenue, which has a surface parking lot with available parking spaces and pedestrian cross access between both sites. 

Gap Analysis

Approval of this parking lease agreement will provide the District with additional parking spaces for employees of the Sanchez Full Service Center, which will improve parking conditions for the site. 

Previous Outcomes

Existing/current parking conditions at Sanchez Full Service Center have created limited convenient parking for District employees. 

Expected Outcomes

Improved parking conditions at Sanchez Full Service Center will provide District employees with adequate parking.

Recommendation

Approval of the parking lease agreement between The School Board of Hillsborough County and the State of Florida, Department of Management Services, to provide five additional parking spaces for employees at the Sanchez Full Service Center will improve the parking conditions at the Sanchez Full Service Center facility.

Financial Impact

The total cost for leasing the five additional parking spaces is $72.00 per parking space, for a total of $360.00 per year.
