C7.23 - Approve Acceptance of the Synthetic Turf at Sligh Middle School (Operations Division)
In an effort to mitigate the ongoing cost of natural turf maintenance, the Operations Group elected to install an artificial play surface within the new running track at Sligh Middle School. District staff selected Key Engineering Associates, Inc. and Skanska USA Building, Inc. from the approved Continuing Services Consultants list to provide design and construction management services, respectively. The scope of work provided for an artificial turf field as provided by Foreverlawn of Tampa Bay.
The design professional has now certified that the work is complete in accordance with the plans and specifications and other contract documents and recommends Board Acceptance.
