E01 - First Public Hearing on the Millage Rates and Tentative Budget for the 2020/2021 Fiscal Year (Finance Division)
On Tuesday July 7, 2020, the Board approved the advertisement template for the 2020/2021 fiscal year to include proposed millage rates and tentative budget to print Sunday, July 26, 2020, in the Tampa Bay Times.
In accordance with the Truth in Millage (TRIM) requirements, the Board must hold a public hearing within five days of the advertisement to discuss the following items and allow for any public discussion.
The proposed millage rate is 5.9670, the maximum rate allowed by law.
School Districts follow guidelines for the TRIM compliance provided by the Florida Department of Revenue Property Tax Oversight and Florida Administrative Code.
The Board approved the previous fiscal years budget.
Upon approval, the Financial Services team will prepare and continue to update the annual estimated budget for fiscal year 2020/2021.
