A01 - Recognition of Hillsborough County Public Schools for Receiving the Healthy Schools Gold, Silver or Bronze Award (Office of Innovation)
The Healthy Schools Award is derived from The Florida Coordinated School Health Partnership in collaboration with Florida Action for Healthy Kids, Florida Association of District School Superintendents, and Florida Healthy Kids Corporation. Schools were recognized based on results of self-assessments of sustainable infrastructure, policy, programs, and evidence based practices identified from national and state guidelines and Florida statutes in the areas of: School Health Services, Health and Physical Education, Nutrition Services and Education, Healthy School Environment: Safe and Supportive School Environment and Safe and Healthy Physical Environment, Employee Wellness, Counseling/Psycho-social and Social Services, and Family and Community Involvement.
