B7.01 - Approve Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for Phase 1 of the Classroom Addition at Dorothy Thomas School (Operations Division)
The addition of brick and mortar classroom space at Dorothy Thomas School is proposed to replace portable classrooms currently being utilized on the site. District staff selected Fleischman-Garcia Architects and Planners, AIA, PA and Skanska USA Building, Inc. to provide design and construction management services, respectively, through a selection committee. Award was made based upon the score granted by the selection committee. The project scope provides initial demolition and portable relocation.
Approval of the GMP will establish the cost for the relocation of portable classrooms and their infrastructure to make way for the new classroom building.
Project Substantial Completion for this phase of the work is scheduled for September 18, 2020.
