Approve Agreements with Officials' Organizations for 2017/2018 Athletic Contests (Educational Access, Opportunity, and Alternatives)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
We request approval of the negotiated agreements for officiating athletic contests with the following organizations:
  • Hillsborough County Volleyball Officials Association (HCVOA)--to provide officials at middle and high school varsity and junior varsity volleyball contests
  • West Coast Officials Association, Incorporated (WCOA)--to provide officials at middle and high school varsity and junior varsity football, basketball, and flag football contests
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
• Develop a culture of respect, trust, and collaboration • Continuously improve processes and systems • Demonstrate "best practices" in all aspects of safety: student, employee, visitor, facility, transportation, and health
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
Funds in the amount of $266,378 will be available in the 2017/2018 Educational Access, Opportunity, and Alternatives Division Athletics Department budget. For tracking purposes, the project number specific to this agenda item is 6406. As of Monday, July 3, 2017, the remaining balance less encumbrances for this line item equaled $266,378.
