Approve New Job Description for Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Paraprofessional 4, Classroom Health Aide (Educational Access, Opportunity, and Alternatives Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This job description for the Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Paraprofessional 4, Classroom Health Aide position is new and reflects the adjustments in the scope of work needed to support Students with Disabilities (SWDs) who are medically fragile.

The placement of positions will be at sites with a high number of students with medical needs.  The ESE Paraprofessional 4 position will be allocated in lieu of two ESE Paraprofessional 1 positions or ESE Unique Needs Aides/Attendants.  This position will provide direct support to SWD in the ESE or general education environment. The salary range for this position is $28,538.40 to $45,034.00.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
This position funded fully by the IDEA grant.  Allocating this position will provide the district a cost savings between $11,567.71 - $18,200.18 because the ESE Paraprofessional 4 replaces two ESE Paraprofessional I positions or ESE Unique Needs Aides/Attendants.
