A previously approved District Facilities Five Year Work Program provided for replacement of the telephone, fire alarm and intercom systems at Northwest and Folsom Elementary Schools. District staff selected KBA Engineering, Inc./Tanase & Associates from the approved Continuing Services Consultants list to provide design services. The scope of work included replacing the existing fire alarm system and installing cabling required for a new telephone and intercom system at both schools. (Installation of telephone and intercom equipment was accomplished separately using equipment currently on-hand in District inventory.)

The design professional has certified that the work is complete in accordance with the plans and specifications and other contract documents and recommends Board acceptance.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Funds in the amount of $691,462.47 will be available in the Local Millage fund. For tracking purposes, the project number specific to this agenda item is 8116 and 8131. As of Thursday, August 17, 2017, the remaining balance less encumbrances for this line item equaled $31,205.63.
