Approve Award of Contract for Epoxy Pipe Lining at Thonotosassa Elementary and Tampa Bay Technical High Schools | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
A previously approved District Facilities Five Year Work Program provides for restoring and applying an epoxy barrier coating to the galvanized and copper water piping in Buildings 1 through 15, including the galvanized main that services the buildings at Thonotosassa Elementary and restoring the galvanized and copper water piping in all buildings at Tampa Bay Technical High School using an epoxy lining.
The project was advertised and bids received (see attached bid tabulation). Award of the contract for construction to the lowest qualified bidder, Florida Pipe-Lining Solutions, LLC, is recommended. |

Funds in the amount of $976,437.00 will be available in the PECO Maintenance fund. For tracking purposes, the project number specific to this agenda item is 8233. As of Friday, April 6, 2018, the remaining balance less encumbrances for this line item equaled $976,437.00.
The contract amount being awarded is $746,660. |
