The 2017 Employee Benefits Annual Open Enrollment (Human Resources Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The Employee Benefits Annual Open Enrollment for 2017 begins Tuesday, September 20, 2016, and ends Thursday, September 29, 2016.  There will be three Annual Enrollment events that employees/retirees/dependents (members) may attend:

  • September 21, Wednesday, 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Armwood High School
  • September 24, Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Chamberlain High School
  • September 27, Tuesday, 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., East Bay High School 

Members are invited to attend these events to discuss their benefits with various product representatives and Employee Benefits staff members, participate in Humana’s Health Fairs, and even get their annual, free flu shots (as supplies last and provided members bring their HCPS Humana ID cards).  Each event will include a presentation highlighting the major features of the five health plans, the Rx4 Prescription Drug Plan, and the various voluntary benefits plans.

In addition to the three enrollment events, employees can find enrollment information by reading their InfoQuick 2017 Annual Enrollment Guides, visiting the enrollment website, watching the enrollment video, and calling the Humana hotline at (888) 393-6765.  (Enrollment guides are also available in Spanish; Employee Benefits personnel who speak Spanish will be available at all three events.)

Employees and retirees can make their 2017 benefits elections in one of two easy ways:

  • Go to the web site at sdhc.selfservicenow.com to enter their elections
  • Call Aon at (866) 522-9133 to have their elections entered for them

No additional cost to the district; enrollment costs are included in the products’ premium rates.

Health Insurance is renewed annually.
