Adoption of Proclamation - Child Abuse Prevention Month, April 2019 (Communications)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The proclamation recognizes the importance of increasing the awareness and prevention of child abuse--which is proven to cause severe, lifelong problems. The adopted proclamation will be presented by members of the school board and the superintendent to the Department of Children and Families and the Children's Board in recognition of their Pinwheels for Prevention Campaign. The Pinwheels for Prevention Campaign engages communities throughout Hillsborough County to prevent child abuse and neglect.

• Engage and communicate with families and stakeholders • Continuously improve processes and systems • Demonstrate "best practices" in all aspects of safety: student, employee, visitor, facility, transportation, and health
