Approve Acceptance of Project for Roof Replacement at Manhattan Center 
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

A previously approved District Facilities Five Year Work Program provided for the replacement of the roof at Manhattan Center.    District staff selected Long & Associates Architects/Engineers, Inc. and J.O. DeLotto and Sons, Inc. from the approved Continuing Services Consultants list to provide design and construction management services.  Scope of work included  the replacement of roofs and adjacent canopies on nine buildings, including replacement of damaged wood decking, gutters, and accessories.  Seventeen roof-top air conditioning units were also be replaced.

The design professional has certified that the work is complete in accordance with the plans and specifications and other contract documents and recommends Board Acceptance.

STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
• Establish a strong foundation of financial stewardship • Construct and maintain facilities that create an environment conducive to teaching and learning
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
Funds in the amount of $1,030,945.69 will be available in the Local Millage fund. For tracking purposes, the project number specific to this agenda item is 8100/8138. As of Tuesday, September 13, 2016, the remaining balance less encumbrances for this line item equaled $10,263.47.
