| Approve the Agreement for Technical Services with Prismatic Services, Inc. for the Evaluation of the Title III English Language Learners (ELL) Continuation Grant Project (Office of Teaching and Learning) | |
| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
| The Title III ELL grant project purpose is to support, enhance, and improve student performance levels for ELL students. This agenda item approves evaluator services for the annual grant program for the 2016/2017 school year in compliance with funding agency requirements. Grant evaluation services include the following: evaluation design assistance, data analyses, and a comprehensive Annual Performance Report evaluation.
Prismatic Services, Inc. has been selected to serve as a third party project evaluator based on responses to the Request for Proposal (RFP) 11143-DST Program Evaluation Services. The RFP process provides an opportunity for all interested evaluators to apply as potential Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) program evaluation providers. |

| Funds in the amount of $10,000.00 will be available in the Title III ELL Continuation grant. For tracking purposes, the project number specific to this agenda item is 3161. As of Monday, October 10, 2016, the remaining balance less encumbrances for this line item equaled $3,499,289.00. | |
| EVALUATION | |
| The Coordinator of Grant Evaluations, Department of Assessment and Accountability, has direct supervision of the selected external evaluator. The Coordinator oversees the evaluation activities, tracks progress, and ensures reporting compliance as well as transmission of all required reports to the funding agency. | |
