B7.12 - Approve Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for Referendum (Year Two) Project at LaVoy Exceptional Center (Operations Division)

On February 5, 2020, District staff selected Engineering Professionals, Inc. and Barr & Barr to provide design and construction management services, respectively, through a selection committee.  Award was made based upon the score granted by the selection committee.  The project scope provides for a complete heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) replacement.

Approval of the GMP will establish the cost for the project.

Project Substantial Completion is scheduled for July 23, 2020.

Completion of a major mechanical and electrical project resulting in safe, energy-efficient HVAC systems, thereby enhancing the student experience on campus to facilitate learning at LaVoy Exceptional Center.

* Construct and maintain facilities that create an environment conducive to teaching and learning
