B7.03 - Approve the License Agreement Between The School Board of Hillsborough County and the State of Florida Department of Health for 44 Parking Spaces in Lot 3 Leased by the School Board from the Tampa-Hillsborough County Expressway Authority (Operations Division)
The State of Florida Department of Health reached out to the School District to renew the license agreement due to expire on May 10, 2020. This agreement assists the Department of Health with parking needs for their employees located at 1105 East Kennedy Boulevard, Tampa. The School Board of Hillsborough County leases three individual parking lots from the Tampa-Hillsborough County Expressway Authority for employee parking at the Raymond O. Shelton School Administrative Center. The Lease allows the District to enter into a license agreement for parking spaces that are currently not being utilized by District staff.
The Department of Health will have use of 44 spaces in Lot 3 located adjacent to the Rampello Downtown Parking Garage at a rate of $40.00 per space; $1,760 monthly. The term will run concurrent with the District's lease term with the Expressway Authority. The License Agreement will commence on May 11, 2020, and terminate on May 10, 2021.
The current rate is $1,760.00 per month.
The District will recoup $1,760.00 monthly or $21,120.00 per year for subleasing the parking spaces.
