Approve Agreements with Baseball and Softball Officials Organizations for Athletic Contests, 2016/2017 (Student Services Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

We request approval of the negotiated agreements with the following organizations:

  • West Coast Umpires Association (WCUA) to provide umpires for scheduled high school baseball games—$34,580
  • Hillsborough County Umpires Association, (HCUA, LLC) to provide umpires for scheduled high school softball games—$26,505
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
• Develop a culture of respect, trust, and collaboration • Establish a strong foundation of financial stewardship • Demonstrate "best practices" in all aspects of safety: student, employee, visitor, facility, transportation, and health
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
Funds in the amount of $61,085.00 will be available in the Athletics Department budget. For tracking purposes, the project number specific to this agenda item is 6406. As of Wednesday, December 14, 2016, the remaining balance less encumbrances for this line item equaled $432,230.57.
