B5.01 - Approve Graduation Dates for the 2020/2021 School Year (Chief of Schools, Administration and Leadership Development)

Graduations are scheduled for May 25, 2021, through June 3, 2021, at the Florida State Fairgrounds Expo Hall for our 27 Traditional high schools, 8 adult education schools, 4 technical colleges, 4 career centers and Hillsborough Virtual School (see schedule attached).  The make-up days are Sunday, May 30, 2021 and/or Monday, May 31, 2021.  The last day of regular classes for seniors is Friday, May 21, 2021.  Graduation dates, times and locations for our Exceptional Students Centers are attached.

Previous graduations have been held at the Florida State Fairgrounds Expo Hall successfully.

We expect to celebrate 14,982 seniors this year based on our 20 day count.  Based on last year's numbers, we also expect to add 500+ students earning diplomas and certifications from our Adult, Technical and Career Centers.

It is recommended that the dates presented be approved.
