SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Public Hearing on Adoption of Instructional Materials for Cosmetology/Barbering, Criminal Justice, and Health Services (Office of Teaching and Learning)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Per Florida Statute 1006.283 and School Board Policy 2510, the district must provide 20 calendar days for the public to review instructional materials recommended for adoption.  The instructional materials being considered for adoption and advertised for public review are listed on the attached file.  The public review was advertised via the district website from January 17, 2017, through February 6, 2017.  The Superintendent will recommend these materials for adoption at a separate School Board meeting.

• Improve the high school graduation rate • Provide a student-centered learning environment that engages every child
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  No)
There is no financial impact for the Public Hearing.  An estimated cost for the purchase of these materials will be provided when the School Board approves the adoption.
