Approve the Memorandum of Agreement Between the Hillsborough County Department of Health (HCDOH) for Comprehensive Services Provided by Registered Nurses (Academic Support and Federal Programs Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This agreement provides Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) with 13 registered nurses to work in our schools to provide basic school health services. The Supervisor of School Health Services will be responsible for the supervision and evaluation of nurses hired under the program.  HCDOH covers the salaries and other costs associated with these 13 registered nurses who are paid directly by the HCDOH.  This agreement has been in effect for over 20 years.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  No)
There is no financial impact to HCPS as the registered nurses are paid directly by the HCDOH.
EVALUATION
The School Health Services annual report and plans are submitted to the HCDOH each August.  Data is collected from monthly reports submitted by the school nurses.
