SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve the Renewal of the Interlocal Agreement Between the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) and the School Board of Hillsborough County, Florida, a Body Corporate, to Provide Summer Meals
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The School Board will renew the agreement with BOCC to provide a lunch and snack to children participating in summer programs through the Hillsborough County Department of Parks and Recreation and the City of Tampa Parks and Recreation Centers.  This is the first of three successive one year renewal periods.  For more than 25 years, Student Nutrition Services (SNS) has partnered with BOCC to meet the nutritional needs of children during summer months.  The lunches and snacks will be delivered to participating sites between the dates of May 30, 2017, to August 4, 2017.

• Demonstrate "best practices" in all aspects of safety: student, employee, visitor, facility, transportation, and health
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
Funds in the amount of $535,000.00 will be available in the Student Nutrition Services Fund 410. For tracking purposes, the project number specific to this agenda item is 4602. As of Monday, May 15, 2017, the remaining balance less encumbrances for this line item equaled $535,000.00. Student Nutrition Services projects a net revenue over expenses of $317,000.  These dollars will be receipted into Fund 410, Site 9641, Project 4602.
