SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve Contract X1317 with the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice for After-school and Summer Diversion and Prevention Program for Muller Elementary School, January 1 - June 30, 2006 - $170,000 (Adult and Community Education)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The scope of services under this Contract includes school-aged child care services, tutoring, recreational, cultural, and life skills services for a minimum of 70 at-risk children at the University Area Community Center. The goal is to provide a supervised and safe educational and recreational environment with program focus on improving academic performance. Furthermore, this contract will enable the School District to accept funds for program expenses from the Department of Juvenile Justice, state of Florida.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)
Funds from the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice up to $170,000 will be used to provide this program. There is no additional cost to the District.
