Recognition of Principals for Camp SPARKS (Special Parks and Recreation Kids)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Hillsborough County Parks, Recreation, and Conservation Department, Therapeutic Section, in cooperation with the District and various private agencies has offered recreation and social activities to mentally and physically disabled citizens since 1994. Camp SPARKS, a summer day camp for children ages 6 to 22, serves approximately 200 children throughout Hillsborough County. The 8 to 10 week program provides activities such as sports, games, cooking, and arts and crafts along with special guests, swimming, and field trips. Hillsborough County Parks, Recreation, and Conservation Department would like to recognize the principals of Citrus Park, Forest Hills, and Hunter's Green Elementary Schools, and Burns Middle School for their commitment and dedication to the Camp SPARKS program.
