DECLARATION OF PROPERTY AS SURPLUS

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Gary School was originally built in 1914 and functioned as an elementary school and in the later years as an adult high school. Upon investigation by the District, it has been determined that the feasible economic life of the building has been surpassed and under District guidelines, the property should be declared surplus.

ANNUAL DISTRICT GOAL(S) AND CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTOR(S)

Critical Success Factor 6.a.8: Provide sufficient student stations to ensure uninterrupted student learning and data gathering as measured by District Operational Goals plan.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: No)

The sale of this surplus property will provide revenue for the purchase of additional school sites in an amount equal to fair market value or acceptable bid, whichever is greater.
