EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
On September 7, 2004, the Board appointed Howard and Associates Architects, P.A. and Allstate Construction, Inc. to provide design and construction management services for classroom additions at Cannella, McKitrick, Forest Hills, Lake Magdalene, and Mort Elementary Schools. These additions are necessary to meet class size reduction requirements. The scope of work provides for the following additions: 14 classrooms at Cannella, 18 classrooms at McKitrick, 18 classrooms at Forest Hills, 16 classrooms at Lake Magdalene, and 12 classrooms at Mort.
Approval of the guaranteed price will provide a maximum cost for the facilities. Completion is scheduled for April 30, 2006.

Critical Success Factor 6.a.8 - Provide sufficient student stations to ensure uninterrupted student learning and data gathering as measured by District Operational Goals plan.
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)
Construction cost is warranted at $10,475,999. The construction budget is $10,475,999. This item is included in the District Capital Outlay: Classrooms for Kids.
