EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Previously, the School Board acknowledged its desire to cooperate with and participate in the Hillsborough County Emergency Operations "Shelter" Program. In January 2001, the School Board approved retrofit installations at Buildings 1 - 7 at Durant High School. During recent unrelated life safety inspections, it became apparent that several existing windows were in need of replacement to facilitate emergency egress. Kalemeris Construction, Inc. was the construction manager appointed by the School Board during the original retrofit project.

Approval of expenditure to Kalemeris Construction, Inc. will enable replacement of selected windows in Buildings 6 and 7 at Durant High School.
