Approve the Lease Agreement Between the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay and the School District of Hillsborough County School Readiness Child Care Program (Student Services and Federal Programs Division)

This agreement allows the School Readiness Child Care Program to provide services in a temporary office space while a replacement location for its previous north Tampa office, located in the Tampa Bay Workforce Alliance site on North Florida Avenue, is undergoing construction. On November 1, 2005, a 30-day “Notice to Vacate” was served by Tampa Bay Workforce Alliance on the School Readiness Child Care Program advising that the North Florida Avenue offices must be vacated by December 1, 2005. This lease agreement with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay is in effect December 1, 2005, under a month-to-month term with a 30-day notification by the School Readiness Child Care Program prior to vacating the premises. The expected term of this lease is 60-90 days as determined by the completion of new office construction.

Goal 5 - The district will eliminate the FCAT achievement gap by a minimum of 10 percentage points as reported by No Child Left Behind.

The total funding of $636.66 per month is utilized to meet the lease agreement costs to provide Child Care Resource and Referral and intake/eligibility services that determine the participation in child care and early education programs for approximately 12,700 children from income eligible families. All funds are generated by Part 4 dollars.
