Approve the Naming of the Gym at Brandon high School
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The faculty, staff, parents, and community of Brandon High School have requested that the gymnasium at Brandon High School be name in honor of Orlan H. Briant. Dr. Briant served as Brandon's Principal from 1975-1985 Brandon High School claimed many achievements for their outstanding accomplishments in the academic, athletic and co-curricular areas during his tenure. Dr. Briant was an outstanding educator not only at Brandon High School but with the School District of Hillsborough County
ANNUAL DISTRICT GOAL(S) AND CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTOR(S)
Other: This is in accordance with Policy 8.27 (Procedure Summary) which governs that school sites and facilities shall be named for individuals who have rendered outstanding public service to public education, for geographical locations and for groups and clubs.
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: No)
There is no cost to the school district.
