APPROVAL OF CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 - $1,116,071.45 CREDIT

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

On September 7, 2004, the Board appointed Holmes Hepner and Associates Architects and Greater Bay Construction Company to provide design and construction management services for classroom additions at Bellamy, Lowry, Morgan Woods, Town & Country, and Woodbridge Elementary Schools. These additions are necessary to meet class size reduction requirements. The scope of work provides for the following additions: 16 classrooms at Bellamy, 18 classrooms at Lowry, 10 classrooms at Morgan Woods, 10 classrooms at Town & Country, and 10 classrooms at Woodbridge.

This change order provides a credit for the direct purchase of materials by the District.

Critical Success Factor 6.a.8 - Provide sufficient student stations to ensure uninterrupted student learning and data gathering as measured by District Operational Goals plan.

This item is included in the District Capital Outlay: Classrooms for Kids funds (Bellamy, Lowry, Morgan Woods, and Town & Country Elementary Schools), and Certificates of Participation Series 2002 (Woodbridge Elementary School).
