SCHOOL CONCURRENCY PILOT PROJECT MONTHLY STATUS REPORT, JANUARY 2006

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

In 2005, the Florida Legislature passed legislation that requires adequate school facilities to be in place within three years of construction of new homes. Hillsborough County has been selected to serve as a pilot community for the early implementation of this program. Each month a status report (see attachment) will be prepared summarizing the project's progress in the prior month and anticipated progress for the next month. More detailed information including draft documents, meeting summaries, future meeting dates, contact information and other relevant information, can be obtained at the project web site at: http://growthmanagement.mysdhc.org/
