The Interlocal Agreement for School Facilities Planning and Siting, Section 3.1, requires the School Board to conduct a neighborhood meeting within the general area of the proposed educational facility prior to acquisition.

Staff has been working with County Staff in an exchange process, whereby the County would exchange a site located on Citrus Park Drive for School District property located at Fawn Ridge. In order for the District to acquire this site and for the County to utilize the District property, both staffs are moving forward with land exchange proceedings.

The site will provide relief to Bryant and Westchase Elementary Schools with an additional 940 student stations and is scheduled to open in 2007.

Critical Success Factor 6.a.8: provide sufficient student stations to ensure uninterrupted student learning and data gathering as measured by District Operational Goals plan.
