Approve Replacement Agricultural Lease with Consortium of Investors for Cattle Pasture for Agribusiness Department, Plant City High School, 2006-2007 (Curriculum and Instruction Division)

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The Agricultural Lease with the Gramling Family Trust for use of a cattle pasture by the Plant City High School Agribusiness Department was approved by the School Board on January 9, 1995, as a recurring agreement. The property has been sold and a replacement Agricultural Lease has been developed with Consortium of Investors for continued use of the pasture located at 3402 Jim Redman Parkway, Plant City, Florida. There is no cost for the pasture use and the lease is renewable for up to two additional years.

The Plant City High School Agribusiness Department manages cattle that are used for land laboratory experiences for students enrolled in the Veterinary Assisting and Agritechnology Programs. The numbers of students enrolled in the programs and limited available space at the school site necessitates additional property to house and feed the Plant City High School Agribusiness Department cattle.
