EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
On June 15, 2004, the Board approved the appointment of The Architectural Practice, Inc. for architectural services. The scope of work provides for a new 720 student station elementary school. Bids for general contracting services were received on February 14, 2006. The low bid in the amount of $10,911,792 was submitted by Ellis Construction Company.
Award of contract to Ellis Construction Company is recommended. Project completion date is scheduled for June 2007.

Critical Success Factor 6.a.8 - Provide sufficient student stations to ensure uninterrupted student learning and data gathering as measured by District Operational Goals plan.
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)
The construction budget is $10,911,792. The contract amount being awarded is $10,911,792. This item is included in the District Capital Outlay: Certificates of Participation Series 2004C, Classrooms for Kids 2005, and School Infrastructure Thrift Award (SIT).
