Approve Amendment #1 of the Contract Between the School District of Hillsborough County, Early Childhood School Readiness Programs and Sharon Butler Family Child Care Home (FCCH) (Student Services and Federal Programs Division)

By virtue of this contract, FCCH Sharon Butler delivers child care services in her home to eligible low income families participating in the School Readiness program. The term of the contract is October 1, 2005, through June 30, 2006. Amendment #1 is written to correct information by adding a third floating holiday, April 14, 2006, Good Friday, to the contract to be effective April 1, 2006. At the initial time of selecting floating holidays, the provider was under the impression she was eligible for only two not three holidays.

Goal 5 - The district will eliminate the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT) achievement gap by a minimum of 10 percentage points as reported by No Child Left Behind.

The original total funding of $28,500 remains unchanged and will be utilized for the the care of approximately ten (10) children from income eligible families at the average rate of $2,850 for this nine-month contract.

This contract amendment is reflected in the year-end financial statements which are audited annually by the Hillsborough County School Readiness Coalition doing business as the Early Learning Coalition of Hillsborough County as prescribed by law. The Board will receive the audit reports when they are completed. The time of completion will vary based upon the activities of the auditors.
