Modify Existing 2005/2006 Payroll Schedules (Business Division)

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Requested modification changes the final payment date for some less than 12 month staff. The final payment will always be on a Friday, regardless of the employee's final work day. The new final payment date is consistent with standard pay periods, and reduces the risk of over-payments due to assumed time. Attachment A identifies the payroll schedules with the proposed changes.

This change helps to minimize potential over-payments to staff on their final payment.

EVALUATION

This is a step toward a more standard bi-weekly payment schedule. The entire End-of-Year process will be reviewed for efficiency. Please note only those payroll schedules that have a date change have been printed for this agenda item.
